Splinter Group is a self-selected group of people involved in the construction industry in the San Francisco Bay Area in California. Many of us operate our own businesses as independent general contractors, specialty contractors, architects, building materials suppliers, construction trade support professionals, and others involved with construction. Our primary purposes are to promote a forum for sharing our interests and insights and to provide an arena for increasing our knowledge and honing our professional skills. By talking with each other, we can share some of the joys and heartaches we find in our work. By expressing our own experiences, we will at some point be giving valuable support and direction to someone else.

We have drawn into our association some of the leading builders, designers and construction trade professionals in the Bay Area. We are on the cutting edge of change and improvement in our professions. Splinter Group has helped us collectively raise our professional ethics, standards and ideals.
